I really enjoy Ben's work! it makes you think about everything that is going on in the picture. My favorite picture is the one of the egg and the tree, simply because you have to do a double take when looking at the egg. And i put the one of the wolf on here because i dont see the surrealsim in the work. Being a hunter and an outdoors person i think this is a very common sight to see a wolf howling.

Andy Goldsworthy

I think andy takes very unique pictures, but i think he spends to much time on them. I believe that art is whast ALREADY around you the way YOU FOUND IT. But his pictures are very well composed for the most part, i would like to see him use the rule of thirds more. that is why this picture is my favorite! He somewhat used the rule of thirds!

I think my strongest picture is either one of the pepper grinders. I think I like the one of the entire grinder better, just because it is in focus at the top but not the bottom.

My picture is the one on the bottom. I think i emulated Hiroshi's photo well, but i think mine is to bright. I tried darkening it in photoshop on the histogram, but it just didnt look right. Then I treid to darken the blues, but while darkening the water and the sky (like I wanted) it also darkened the shoreline. Do you know how i could have done that?

My picture is the one on the left. I like my picture alot better than his. First because mine is clear and you can see every little wire on the tower! Second, because its not all in-line, and third i think it is more interesting than the standard whole view of the Eiffle Tower where you see the tip to the base on the ground! I believe that my picture makes the viewer curious as to what is below the edge of the picture. Also I think I did a very good job using line. Yes its the EIffle Tower, but I think i did a good job making the tower itself if focus, and the sky not as in focus. What do you think I did strongly and weekly in this photo? How could i have improved it?

My picture is the one on the very top, I used a combination of two of Shore's pictures to create mine. With the setup of my picture I thought it would be to boring with just the church, or just the hill. And then if I would have done just the hill you wouldnt have seen much anyways. And I know that blue and green are not complementary colors, but i think the grass really pops against the blue water. Do you think I did a good job emulating Shore?

My Picture is the picture on the bottom, and Stephen Shore's Picture is the one of the top. Yes my picture is of a little river, and his is a road, but i think it still shows the same meaning. I believe the meaning Shore was trying to get to his viewers is that theres an open road ahead, or theres no ending! I believe that my picture displays this also because like Shore's you cannot see an ending in the road as you cant in the river! Also i think i did a very good job with composition in the artwork. Yes, I realise that I did not really follow the rule of thirds, but i believe with this pictue if i would have it would look weird. Do you think i should have followed the rule of thids? Also, how could i have made this picture better?

This Artist is Stephen Shore. Im not sure which photos i will be emulating yet, but i am thinking the one with the road, and the one with the hill.

Montage #2

In this Montage I am trying to show some of the main historical sites of Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and France. I think i did a lot better job with this montage then the first one. I took more time finding pictures, and picking the right picture for the place it was going to be placed! I think I did a really good job with lightining the opasity levels. Now that im really looking at the picture, i think i should have made the flags go off the edges everywhere, but im not sure. What do you think? What do you think of this montage overall? What should have i done diffrent?

In this Montage I was trying to display the beauty of ancient Rome. I really like this because just like when you are in Rome, you see the colleseum, and across the street is the Roman Forum. I think i had some problems blending in some of the images, but overall i think it turned out good. How do you think i could improve my photo? Also is there anything you would have done diffrently?
